Hi, I am Vicki Prais

For nearly three decades, Vicki Prais has helped organisations, governments, and civil society put human rights at the centre of their work. An award-winning lawyer, consultant, and academic, she specialises in prisoners’ rights, prison reform, dignity behind bars, and torture prevention.

Her career spans 28 years across international organisations, the British Government, NGOs, and academia. In July 2024, she was honoured with the Freelancer of the Year Award (Work Avenue) in recognition of her leadership and impact in the human rights field.
